ASHA Conference Speech in New Orleans

Jay Fraleigh was asked to give a talk at the American Society of Horticultural Science (ASHS) conference in New Orleans on July 29, 2006, along with Dr. Jyotsna Sharma of the University of Florida. The talk highlighted the new Gro-Eco™ Growing system, which is environmentally friendly. While conventional irrigation wastes precious water and pollutes surrounding areas with nitrates and phosphates, Gro-Eco uses a minimal amount of water and drastically reduces chemical leaching. In view of the increasing regulation of irrigated agriculture, Gro-Eco offers an appealing solution that helps the environment, growers and the consumers.
