Welcome to Gro Eco
Every Plant Makes a Difference

The "Be Green" Revolution

Want to be Greener? It’s easier than you think and it begins at home and at your business. You get overwhelmed with all the media stories telling you to be green now. The list of things you need to do in order to “be green” seems to grow everyday. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.  What does it all mean?  How can you possibly do it all?

If you are a business, the pressure to “be green” is even greater and seems to be growing everyday. What is your business doing to support a greener world? Are you supporting a sustainable vendor? Is your building environmentally friendly? Are you providing employees options to be more eco-conscious? Do you recycle in your office? Change the light bulbs? The list is endless.

Gro-Eco™ is a new kind of green option. We don’t believe in overwhelming you. We believe it starts very simple and grows from there. We think you can make a difference one plant at a time. We all know we need to plant more plants to help our environment. Every plant improves our air quality, our soil and the overall eco-system. Gro-Eco™ Plants do even more.  When you plant Gro-Eco™ you are also doing your part in:

    • Water Conservation, our Earth’s precious resource
    • Energy Conservation, less energy to run our system
    • Controlling Soil Contamination, less chemical run-off in soil
    • Supporting an American family farm with sustainable practices.

It just doesn’t get any greener than that.  Buy Green. Plant Green. Be Green.  Simply plant one Gro-Eco™ Plant at a time and feel good. Each time you know that you have just invested in a sustainable future for all of us.

Gro-Eco™ Product

The patented Gro-Eco™ Growing System uses raised beds where the container plant is placed in a protected socket overlaid with a drip irrigation system. There is also an irrigation line in the middle of the bed that maintains the proper temperature for the root system even in harsh weather. What does all that mean to you? More of the good stuff and less of the bad. Gro-Eco™ Growing System produces more healthier consistent high quality plants with less environmental impact on the land.

The Gro-Eco™ Plant has a healthier root system due to the protection from cold winter freezes and scorching summer heat. The leaves on a Gro-Eco™ Plant have less disease issues because the drip-irrigation system hits the soil only not the leaves.

Plants Make a Difference in Your World

Here is the best news…you get something in return. Gro-Eco™ doesn’t require sacrifice or compromise. Gro-Eco™ provides you a more enriched environment you can enjoy for years to come. There is nothing more beautiful than a lavish landscaped property and nothing more unattractive than a bare deserted property. Landscape not only provides you immediate visual gratification but it also enhances your return on your investment.

Well-landscaped homes hold their value and sell faster, some even get a premium. In fact, many realtors request homeowners to add to the landscape before putting a home on the market. It is the first and last impression of a home.

For a business, landscaping can be even more impactful.  Employees, vendors, customers come to your place of business and before they walk in the door their opinion of your business is forming. Landscape can enhance it or diminish it.

There are businesses that have even credited landscaping with improved profit margins. Post Apartments is a great example.  They created a formula for lavish, upscale apartment homes with breathtaking landscapes. By doing the opposite of the industry standard cold concrete settings, Post set a new standard for apartment living. The result, Post charged a little more to rent their apartments than most while enjoying a 94.9 percent occupancy rate. *

“Landscaping is like art. Surrounded by beauty,
children will grow up to appreciate beauty,”

John Williams, Atlanta developer and founder of Post Properties

So, does landscape make a difference to the bottom line for homeowners and businesses? We think so. We think landscaping with an eco-friendly plant like Gro-Eco™ will make an even bigger difference for our environment.

Join the Gro-Eco™ Family and make a difference one plant at a time.

How are you conserving our Earth’s precious resources?

Each Gro-Eco™ Plant was grown with a patented drip-water irrigation system that ensures every drop of water goes directly in the container. This eliminates water waste and run-off. The result? Each Gro-Eco™ grower uses 85% less water, less chemicals and less energy than traditional growers. Now that is something you can feel good about.

How are you controlling soil contamination?

With traditional irrigation systems, only 15% of the water gets to the container plant. The rest runs off into the earth’s soil. Along with that water, many chemicals and fertilizers intended for the plant are dumped into the earth’s soil causing soil contamination. The Gro-Eco™ Growing System has no run-off. The only run-off from a Gro-Eco™ Plant would be during downpour rains. The plant gets the nutrients it needs but our Earth gets to stay cleaner. That’s how we like it.

How are you building a better eco-system?

Every plant in the ground reduces the carbon dioxide and increases the oxygen in the air. Every plant enriches the soil. Every plant offers shelter or food for wildlife. Every plant enhances our landscape. With Gro-Eco, every plant makes a difference.

How are you supporting an American family farm with sustainable practices?

Gro-Eco™ is owned and operated by Fraleigh Nursery, LLC. There is a family behind this farm led by an innovative eco-conscious leader, Jay Fraleigh. Jay recognized early in his career, there were many unsound environmental practices within the industry that simply had to change.  He is doing his part to convert as much farmland as possible from old irrigation systems to the new Gro-Eco™ Growing System.

“In order to reduce our environmental impact, meaning what we take away from our land versus what we give back to our land, we had to change the way we grow plants,” Jay Fraleigh.

As the 6th generation to run his family farm, he knew he had to create a new way of growing in order to ensure it would make it to a 7th generation. With these inspirations, Jay invented the patented Gro-Eco™ Growing System. It’s simple really, yet incredibly innovative.
